Changing the window in an Austin Healey

Place a cloth over the hood of his Healey. This will help protect the paint to remove and install the windshield.
Locate the two mounting screws are attached to the rear wing mirror. Remove one of the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Slide the rearview mirror of his base. Repeat on the second side mirror. This will give you access to the windshield.
Cut the rubber band around the edges of the windshield with a sharp knife. Discard the set properly in the trash. Enter the vehicle and press the windshield out of frame. Ask someone outside the vehicle to help support the weight of the windshield.
Apply a bead of sealant around the edges of the new windshield. Place a new rubber gasket at the base of the windshield. Ensure that the heaviest part of the seal is on the inside of the windshield and the slot is on the outside. Ate a nylon rope around the outer groove of the windshield.
Lift the windshield to enter the chassis Healey. Press the windshield against the frame for several minutes to allow the seal is put in place. Enter the vehicle and pull the nylon rope across the board. This will allow the rubber lip to secure in place. Replace the mirror to fix the screw on the back of the base. Clean the windshield and the dashboard to prevent dust and dirt from entering the vents or electrical components.
