How to hide a crack in a windshield

A cracked windscreen can produce glare that can affect your handling. The cracks in the windshield not only make your vehicle look bad, but can also spread and result in large cracks and eventually a complete replacement of the windshield. You can easily repair your windshield windscreen in your home with some instruments.

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/4 cup of water into mixing bowl, then add 1/2 tablespoon of salt, 1/2 of insect repellent and 1/2 of isopropyl alcohol. Stir the contents of the bowl until the salt has dissolved.
  2. Wet the rag in the solution and rub it against the crack. Continue wetting the rag in the solution and rubbing it against the crack until the solution is finished.
  3. Allow the windshield to dry for several hours. Isopropyl alcohol and insect repellent react together and soften the plastic covering that is on the glass windshield. Then the salt acts as a filler in the mixture of isopropyl alcohol and insect repellent. Once it dries, it will be as if there had never been a crack in the glass.
