How to install Jeep Wrangler windshield wipers

You could say that the Jeep Wrangler is the Lego car. The doors, roof and windshield are made to facilitate their extraction and are fully compatible with virtually any other jeep. Magazines like Quadratic contain thousands of easy replacement options that connect directly to any Jeep model. One of these replacement options is a windshield lighting kit for off-road operation. The lights are installed on the body of the Jeep and the wire in the engine and cabin easily.

Instructions

  1. Locate the lower windshield hinge. 1 Locate the bottom hinge of the windshield. It is the top hinge bracket, where the windshield attaches to the vehicle body. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal with an open-ended key.
  2. Remove the stock windshield hinge Torn screws using the appropriate Torn screwdriver. 2 Remove the windshield Stock Hinge Torn screws with the appropriate Torn screwdriver. Align the windshield light brackets on the windshield hinge bracket and attach the Torn screws. Some specific Jeep off-road lights will come with the new Torn hinge screws; Install those, if equipped.
  3. Place the windshield light or windshield light rail into the bracket and install the retaining bolts using a socket wrench. 3 Place the light windshield or windshield wiper in the bracket and install the retaining bolts using a socket wrench. Incorporate the lights wiring kit and put the wires in the engine compartment. If the windshield light is a lane of lights above the windscreen run the wires down into the cab of the jeep through the driver’s side door.
  4. Use the provided wiring kit to run the power source directly to the positive terminal of the battery. 4 Use the supplied wiring kit to run the power supply directly to the positive terminal of the battery. If the wire runs through the vehicle cabin, run through the washer near the throttle. Use a socket wrench to remove a screw in the vehicle frame and install the ground wire from the windshield light. Reinstall the bolt into the frame.
  5. Run the instrument end of the wiring kit into the cabin through the firewall by way of the grommet. 5 Run the device side of the cabling kit in the cab through the firewall through the washer. The washer will be incorporated into the cab near the throttle.
  6. Use zip ties to route the wire up and under the steering column to the opposite side of the steering wheel. 6 Use zip ties with the cable passing over and under the steering column on the opposite side of the steering wheel. Cut a small hole with a rotary cutter tool into the empty dashboard space to the left of the steering wheel and mount the light switch off the road there.
